Perfect Harmony

Hello everybody guys!

Do you know when you’ve got that crazy idea for a vid that you can’t really explain it, because it’s not something you would usually do, and yet you find yourself drawn to it and all you want to do is try it out? No? Just me? OK, then.

Well, this happened to me last month right after I watched the US tennis Open with my mom. She’s kind of into tennis and I really wasn’t at the time - I’d tried watching a couple of matches before, but somehow always ended up falling deep asleep. That’s how exciting the sport was for me. But then I watched a few matches, and in about two days went from coma-induced spectator to raving, obsessed fangirl. I blame it on Nadal and Federer! Those two were way too captivating to keep me asleep. Also, that final between Nadal and Djokovic nearly drove me INSANE!

Naturally, the next step, considering I’m a vidder with an unpredictable muse, was to somehow turn that new obsession into some sort of vid. And that’s what I did! And that is what I’m sharing right now.

It’s a vid about Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic, and how they love being each other’s nemesis. OH! And stay tuned for the end credits (actually, forget about the rest of the vid, the whole thing is just a lame excuse to share those videos from the credits with the world).

Wow! It’s been almost a whole year since I’ve made an announcement on this website… Which is… rather scary, I have to say. Because, as it turns out, I HAVE been updating it with vids every now and then, but I somehow forgot to announce them, which was, in turn, very stupid of me.

SORRY! I promise I’ll behave from now on. :)

Anyways… I don’t know if any of you follow me anywhere else, like Tumblr, LJ, Twitter, YouTube or any of those places, but if you don’t, here’s what’s been going on in my life, vidding-wise: I have been totally and utterly obsessed with X-Men: First Class. No, seriously, obsessed with it. Particularly, with Erik and Charles and their tragic, bromancey (yup, it’s a word. Shut up, it is!), vid-tastic (ok, this may not be a word) storyline. And that’s sad and terrible because the DVD is not out yet, so I can’t really vid it! AND AT THE SAME TIME, POOKY HAS BEEN TORMENTING ME WITH IDEAS FOR VIDS EVERY FEW SECONDS!

I have managed to make a couple of vidlets out of the promotional material, but now even THAT is out of the question because I have pretty much used all the footage that I could use.

I think the last time I was this obsessed with vidding a movie was with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Yup, that’s how long it’s been.

I only hope that, once the DVD is released, I will still be this inspired to vid it. *crosses fingers*

We’ve got a new vid!!!! :D
And it’s one of those crazy things I sometimes come up with. This time, it’s a Sherlock/Doctor Who crossover trailer. Yes, I know, I’ve just used the words “crossover” and “trailer” on the same sentence, and that’s quite scary and something that people should avoid doing, if they can… But I couldn’t help it! I had the story in my mind, I HAD to make it!
Still, it was one of the vids I had the most fun making, just for the manips alone. They are a bit addicting, once you start making them, you really don’t want to stop. And actually, there really aren’t all that many in the vid, but I hope it’s enough to make the story a bit more believable. :)

Enjoy!!!
(and maybe we could start an internet campaign to have Moffat write it for real? :P… What? I can dream!)

HELLO, EVERYBODY!!!!

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Oh well… To be fair, though, I HAVE bought a new computer, a Mac this time, and have been spending the last few months learning a new editing program so that I could come back and make more vids (bye bye, Vegas; hello, Final Cut).

It took me a while, but I finally have a new vid to share. Done in Final Cut! :D It feels goood.
And also, I noticed I never actually announced the new vid I made way back in April (my last vid using Vegas *sniff*), my Tenth Doctor: The Musical vid. I posted it to the site, but never announced it. My mistake! Though I have to say, I’m still quite shocked at the response it’s been getting. It’s insane! It’s definitely my most popular vid ever.
So please watch it!

The new vid is about the new (FANTASTIC! BRILLIANT!) TV show, Sherlock, a modern take on the Conan Doyle stories. If you haven’t seen it, YOU SHOULD! It’s amazing, completely amazing. So amazing that it inspired me after only 2 episodes (well, out of 3, but still impressive).
And I’m already working on another one! So stay tuned for that.

We are the champions, my friend!!!

Alright, so I don’t actually have a new video to add (which is very, very sad, believe me!), but I promised myself I’d be around here more often, even when I’ve got nothing new to add, just so you’ll know we’re still here and it’s only because of our muses that there hasn’t been any new video here.
SHAME ON THEM!!! *points finger at Pooky*

Uh… so… Yeah. Hello!

OH WAIT! I guess I do have something new to add: the winners of round 4 of the CJA awards have been announced and yours truly has gotten away with awards for both Above and Below and If You Were Gay, complete with lovely reviews. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!!
They were both up against some tough competition and I still can’t believe they actually won something! Congratulations to all winners and huge, GIGANTIC thank yous to the judges.

*ahem* So, as my final note on this post, I’m ordering you to go right ahead and check all the other videos. Honestly, some of them are the best I’ve ever seen!
JUST GO! You won’t regret it. ;)

Di out!

(PS: Who else is anxiously excited for the new series of Doctor Who that is coming up next April? I CAN HARDLY WAIT!!!!)

Worst. Rescue. EVAH!

I know we’re late, but… HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!!
Lets hope this new decade brings a lot of joy, fortune and vidding for us all. :D

And we’re off to a good start, too, because I bring you my first vid of the year DECADE! *celebrates*
Isn’t that exciting? I’m sorry, but I think it is. :)

Anyway, as many of you already know, 2010 marks the end of the Tennant Era of Doctor Who. Yes, it’s finally come, people. The Tenth Doctor has left the building during “The End of Time, part 2″ and we also had to welcome Eleven into our lives.
You know what? I’m excited for the new season! I think Eleven and Amy will be great and I love Moffat, so I’m optimistic. But lets not talk about that here, I’ve discussed it a lot on my LJ, so go check that out if you’re interested.
No, I’m here to post my new vid!!! It’s about Jack and the Doctor and the changes they went through during “Children of Earth” and “The End of Time”. It’s dramatic, it’s angsty, and both of them are kinda evil in it, but maybe that’s why I had so much fun making it.

Hopefully, you’ll like it too. :)

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR “THE END OF TIME, PART 2″.
you have been warned.

“Clotpole”. He said “clotpole”.

WE’RE BACK, BABY!!! :)

I’m well aware we’ve spent months here with no new announcement (although that didn’t mean no new vids, I suppose I just… forgot to announce them? *blush*), but WE’RE BACK!
And guess what? WE’VE GOT A NEW FANDOM!!!

Say hello to vids from BBC’s Merlin.

Both Ana and I are loving this show, and this season in particular has turned me from a viewer into a full-fledged fan. Seriously, I’m fangirling this show in more ways than I’m willing to admit.
*ahem* so anyway, enjoy these two vids!
One is a character study of the girls, Morgana and Guinevere, and all the troubles they’ve had to face so far. The other is my first ever CRACK!VID, featuring Merlin, Arthur, and their undeniable slash-potential (It also features a catchy tune from the musical Avenue Q).

Enjoy!!! :D

We are coming. Back.

Torchwood: Children of Earth broke my soul.
And I’m pretty sure Ana shares that sentiment.

Episode 4, in particular, just reduces us to sobbing wrecks.
This vid not only introduces yet another new fandom to the site, but it was also made in record time for me (a day!), which could be either good or bad, you’ll be the judges of that.

B! No… 2!

It’s been long, but we’ve got two new vids!

Actually, it’s only one new vid, but it took me too long to actually post one of my vids, so it’s technically new as well. Oh well. Whatever. =P

The old-new vid, as it were, is a Michael/Holly vid for The Office. It’s my personal tribute to them, since I find them so unbelievably perfect for each other.

The new-new vid, as the Doctor would say it, is a Doctor Who vid for Ten and Nine that’s been in the works for quite some time now. It’s just that I happened to stop editing at 1:30 a long time ago and the Curse of the 1:30 Mark struck me (backstory: my theory is, if you stop vidding around 1:30, then you’re either gonna take forever to finish it, or you’ll just never finish it at all!).
Luckily, Pooky and I broke the curse (YAY us!) and I finally finished it.

And here it is.

– Di

Are you making these up?

We have a latest addition to our ever-growing list of fandoms: Legend of the Seeker!
It’s a great show, one that I greatly reccomend to everyone who enjoys fantasy movies/books such as Lord of the Rings or Eragon.

The vid is about the main couple of the show (and the latest to my personal list of OTPs), Richard and Kahlan. The show itself is still at the beginning, but you’d be surprised at how much those two have already been through. Honestly!
For those of you not ready to jump to a new fandom just yet, there’s also a new Doctor Who vid around.

I mean, sure, it’s not really new, but I’m just announcing it now, so whatever. :P
