I love your videos! Can I post them at my website?

Yes, you can. But PLEASE keep it at a reasonable level, choose only a few of your favorites and remember to link to the page where they’re located (not to the file itself!) and to give credit to this site and the vidder who made it (in this case, either me or Ana).

—————

Can I post your videos on my YouTube account?

We’d rather you didn’t. We both have YouTube accounts and we post our own videos there.
By the way, never EVER post videos on YouTube from other people WITHOUT their permission! And if they DO let you, then don’t forget to credit them. And by credit I mean “this vid was made by ___ and you can find it here: _____ (link)”, and not that “I DIDN’T MAKE IT” thing.

—————

What program do you use for editing?

Ana: I’m just an amature vidding for the fun of it! So I still use Windows Movie Maker!

Di: My very first music videos were made using Windows Movie Maker and Windows Movie Maker 2. Later on, I went looking for more sofisticated programs and found the one I’ve used for the majority of my vids, Sonic Foundry Video Factory 2.0.
Right now I’m using both Video Factory and it’s newer, more popular brother, Vegas Studio 6.0.

—————

Can I use scenes from your videos in mine? Pretty Please?

NO! Absolutely NOT. You can’t take scenes from any of the music videos on this website to use on your own videos.

—————

So where can I get scenes to use in music videos?

There are a lot of ways. For movies, we don’t suggest you go downloading them to your computer. As a matter of fact, we think you should avoid doing it at any cost. Not only it’s illegal, but the quality of the video itself is… well, definitely very low. Here on PH, though, we get the scenes from the DVD themselves, which is time-consuming, boring, tedious, and something wrong happens all the time, but we get high-quality footage and all the scenes we want to use. That’s how you should do it if you have a DVD-ROM on your computer.
For TV shows, the ones available on DVD and which we have access to, we use the same process ealier mentioned. But when we don’t have the DVD, like LOST for example, we go online. There are some websites around that have scenes for you to download, so you can use those, just ask the webmaster and remember to give them credit.

How can I get the scenes from my DVDs to my computer?

Di: Again, there are a lot of ways. VideoHelp.com and DVD-Guides.com are two websites that have many guides to help you doing that. This is the one I use.

—————

Do you take requests?

Di: I prefer not to, but you never know… I absolutely love to receive suggestions of songs for videos, though, since I’m always song-hunting. I’m very picky, so I may not make the video in the end. But keep those suggestions coming! :)

Ana: I prefer not to as well… but what I do like is getting ideas and concept for videos! I like receiving song suggestions, but like Di, I’m a song hunter and I’m extremely picky… to me, songs are the video’s soul! But please, if you want to suggest anything, just do it! I’ll certainly check it out ;)

—————

Yay! I made a music video! Can you host it on your website?

Right now only vids made by Di and Ana will be hosted here. At least for now… But who knows? If this changes, we’ll be sure to let everyone know.
